New name for adult learning in Suffolk
Leading Suffolk adult learning provider Community Learning and Skills Development (CLSD) is changing its name to Realise Futures Learning and Development from August 1.
The company runs community learning courses on behalf of Suffolk County Council from seven centres in Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Lowestoft, Beccles, Felixstowe, Newmarket and Ipswich. Last year, it helped 7,000 people in Suffolk, including 2,000 people under the age of 24, access community learning.
Realise Futures Learning Development will launch a new, range of fun leisure courses from two centres in Ipswich - Murrayside Learning Centre in Nacton Road, and Pemberton House in Curriers Lane β from October.
Courses will ranging from everything you need to know about IT and computers, to sewing, cooking and arts and crafts, family courses for parents and carers, such as dealing with teenagers and safety on the internet, as well as health and wellbeing and sign language. Realise Futures unified some of it social enterprise businesses under one brand name last year. Commenting on the name change, Marketing and Communications manager Jane Sutton said: βThe Realise Futures brand is one people recognise and know and is, therefore, one which deserves to be utilised more across our business structure. This can only serve to make it easier for our customers, clients and staff.β
