Concerns were raised today about changes to an Ipswich bus service, with elderly users saying they are no longer taken to vital places.
The number 6 Ipswich Buses service, which runs between Tower Ramparts and Ipswich Hospital, was changed to accommodate a route through Lindbergh Road.
But users have said the amendments have meant buses on the route no longer stop at Sainsbury’s Warren Heath and a doctor’s surgery in Ravenswood.
Cathie Bankier, 72, has sent in a complaint to Ipswich Buses about the amended route, which was brought into force last month.
She said: “My two main things are Sainsbury’s and the doctors but it just doesn’t go there anymore.
“At the moment I am not that well and I need to go to the doctors for tablets.
“Everyone I talk to at the bus stop has said what a pain it is.”
Nobody at Ipswich Buses was available to discuss the route but Mrs Bankier, of Bucklesham Road, said she had sent in a complaint to the firm and she was told her concerns would be looked in to.
