Youngsters and staff at a children’s adventure centre have been getting stuck into making messy fake blood in practice for an experiment-packed science week.
The Snakes and Ladders Science Discovery centre in Ipswich is hosting the week until Saturday.
It is national Science and Engineering Week from March 15 to 24 and this year’s theme is ‘Invention and Discovery’.
Snakes and Ladders is supporting the week and the aim is to shine the spotlight on how sciences, technology, engineering and maths relate to everyday life and inspire the next generation.
Schools education co-ordinator Harriet Leach said: “As our Science Project Discovery Centre opened last year we are in an excellent position to join in science week and we can’t wait to do our bit to get children interested in science.”
Children and parents can challenge themselves to a wide variety of exhibits including ‘build a body’, operate the ‘crazy crane’ and making hot air balloons.
