UK: Expenses cheat MP Jim Devine was released from Standford Hill Prison in Kent today after serving just a quarter of his sentence, it is believed.
Devine was MP for Livingston from 2005 until 2010 and Chairman of the Scottish Labour Party between 1994-95.
He was convicted of false accounting on February 10 this year and sentenced to 16 months’ imprisonment on March 31.
