ENGINEERS were called out after nearly 3,000 homes were left without power.
At 6.55am today, 2,996 customers in the north Felixstowe and Trimley areas experienced an interruption to their power supplies because of a fault on a high-voltage underground electricity cable.
A spokeswoman for UK Power Networks said: “Engineers worked as quickly and as safely as possible with supplies restored to all customers just 20 minutes later, at 7.15am.
“We appreciate how difficult it can be to be without power and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
