A group of young people are getting a taste of life at sea on board a tall ship docked at Ipswich quay today.
The Stavros S Niarchos sailed to Ipswich in gale force winds on Saturday night, and has been docked here since then.
But anyone wishing to catch a glimpse of the tall ship’s majestic beauty had better be quick - the ship will depart from the quay at 1.45pm today and sail towards London in time for a reception tomorrow night.
Nearly 50 youngsters on board, who are from the UK and Greece, have been manning the deck, helping out in the galley and climbing the 140ft rigging.
