GRANDAD Keith Barton has said 2,465 thank yous to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice in Ipswich. That’s the amount he raised on behalf of poorly grandson Charlie Middleton at an Anglia Indoor Kart Racing fundraising day.
But the support the charity has given the two-year-old and his parents, Cheryl and Robin, has been priceless.
Mr and Mrs Middleton need to be at the ready 24/7 to care for the toddler, who suffers from regular seizures and cerebral palsy.
However, their lives would be all the more stressful were it not for the hospice’s dedicated care.
Their case highlights how important the Treehouse Appeal is. It may cost �3million to set up the new hospice, but the benefits will be invaluable.
