Military chiefs tonight announced the death of another British soldier in Afghanistan - the third such tragedy in less than 24 hours.
A soldier from 36 Engineer Regiment, part of an anti-roadside bomb squad, was killed today in the much-feared insurgent zone of Nad-e-Ali, Helmand province.
Earlier two soldiers, from the Royal Scots Borderers Regiment, were also killed, this time in Sangin, also Helmand.
The Army has informed next-of-kin in all three cases.
