The Prime Minister, who has survived a series of leadership debates, should face a secret ballot on his leadership, said two leading figures in the party.
Former minister Patricia Hewitt and Geoff Hoon, who lives in the Suffolk Coastal area, say they want a secret ballot of Labour MPs to resolve the issue of Gordon Brown's leadership once and for all.
