THE road home proved to be an uphill struggle for Ipswich motorists last night. As late as 11.30pm the town centre was still in complete chaos with no seeming way out for late night shoppers, or those on a pre Christmas party night out.
THE road home proved to be an uphill struggle for Ipswich motorists last night.
As late as 11.30pm the town centre was still in complete chaos with no seeming way out for late night shoppers, or those on a pre Christmas party night out.
The slightest of hills proved a monumental challenge with seemingly every route out of the town gridlocked.
West End Road, Bishop's Hill, Civic Drive and Belstead Road all ground to a halt as cars got into trouble struggling for grip on Ipswich's inclines.
The treacherous conditions compounded by the fact that gritting lorries had also got caught up in the jams.
