THOUSANDS flocked to Felixstowe at the weekend to enjoy sun, sea, and sand - and take part in a special event exploring the resort's five-mile coastline
Felixstroll was one of the biggest arts events ever staged in the seaside town and organisers were thrilled with the numbers who visited the various activities, workshops and exhibitions.
Artists, storytellers and musicians produced a series of work with the aim to encourage people to walk and cycle to explore the coast as part of a project to create a new coastal path.
There were art installations at various points, the thought-provoking Caravan Gallery at Felixstowe Ferry, a concert at Landguard Fort, an exhibition at the Town Hall, nature walks, bike tours, and roving musicians and entertainers.
Photographer James Fletcher stepped back to Victorian times, dressing as the resort's celebrated postcard photographer Charles Emeny to take people's portraits with what looked like a plate glass camera but had a modern digi inside.
