A beer business co-founded by an Ipswich man has received the perfect Christmas present after being named alongside M&S and Hotel Chocolat among the best Christmas crackers of 2022 by a national newspaper.

The Bier Company, which is co-owned by former Foxhall Road resident Tom Renshaw, has seen a rapid rise in the last few years and is now worth an incredible £10 million.

Now, the 26-year-old and his business partner, former university flatmate Stefan White, have seen their Christmas crackers - containing two cans of craft beer, a joke and a Christmas hat - recognised in The Telegraph's best Christmas crackers guide of 2022.

In its review the paper said, "it's a wonder there aren't more of these on the market" as it praised the mystery and selection within the crackers.

"It's such an honour and a proud moment for me to see my company appearing in prestigious newspapers like the Telegraph," said Tom.

"The team and I have worked so hard to build the brand and to receive recognition for our products and creative ideas is fantastic.

"It's the best Christmas present I could ask for to know so many people are seeing and enjoying what we do.

"We've come such a long way and can't wait for even bigger and better things in 2023!"
