A family-run farm near Ipswich will host its first Christmas market this weekend.

Organised as a collaboration between Oak House Farm and Acorn Events, the artisan market will be held on Sunday, November 20, from 10am to 2pm at Oak House Farm in Sproughton.

Visitors will have a chance to shop at the farm’s butchers, look for Christmas gifts at the wide range of stalls as well as try locally produced food and crafts.

The butchers will be selling home-reared Red Poll and Shorthorn beef, Old Spot and Large White pork, a range of lamb and chicken, and will be taking orders for Christmas.

The owners of Oak House Farm, Ben and Georgina Woolf, decided to organise another farmer’s market after the success of two previous markets in May and August this year.

Mrs Woolf said: “We have really enjoyed opening the farm up to the public this year and hope that we are looking forward to welcoming lots of local people along on Sunday.”
