Two men have been charged after £60,000 worth of cash and jewellery was stolen from a home in north Ipswich.

The incident happened at an address in Valley Road at some point between 10am and 10pm last Thursday.

The victim left his home that morning and returned to find an untidy search of the property had taken place later that day.

An unknown amount of cash and jewellery had been stolen, which is believed to have a total value of about £60,000.

After enquiries, two men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Dean Lee, 36 and of Carnation Close, Romford, and Christopher Lee, 32 and of Ewen Road in South Cerney, Gloucestershire, were subsequently charged with burglary.

The pair appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Saturday and remanded in custody for a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on December 16.
