A Suffolk charity is inviting people to combine enjoying the festive atmosphere and doing good this Christmas by joining its latest initiative.
Inspire organises Santa’s Sock Day and is asking everyone to proudly wear their Christmas socks to raise money and awareness for young people who are struggling to find their next steps.
It only costs £3 to take part, and all money raised will go towards funding the charity’s vital work. To donate your £3, text SOCK22 to 70331.
You can either join in on the annual Santa’s Sock Day on December 8 or, alternatively, jump right in by posting a photo of your Christmas socks on Facebook, tagging #SantasSockday @InspireSuffolk and nominating two friends.
Nurseries, primary and high schools as well as businesses can take part in the Christmas sock competition by contacting: fundraising@inspiresuffolk.org.uk.
Katiuska Torres-Watling, the community fundraiser at Inspire, said: "We are inviting everyone in nurseries, schools, businesses or even at home, to pop on a pair of Christmas socks to support Inspire in raising funds to help young people overcome challenges and make positive steps.
"Funds raised help us provide education programmes, wellbeing services, sports activities and career guidance for young people.
"With your help young people can find their purpose, uncover what they’re passionate about, build new skills, and overcome adversity.”
More information about the competition can be found on Inspire website.
