Being the UK's busiest container port, you know you're in Suffolk when signs start appearing for the Port of Felixstowe.

The huge cranes used to transport containers at the port can be seen from the other side of the town.

This 26-foot bonze statue was placed at the side of the A12 at Yoxford in late 2021 after being designed by sculptor Laurence Edwards.

It made national news in January last year amid suggestions its towering presence was distracting drivers – something Russell Pearce, the chairman of Yoxford Parish Council, denied.

Bury Bowl is one of Bury St Edmunds' most popular leisure attractions, with the building visible to drivers travelling on the A14 outside of the town.

The outside of the centre underwent a makeover in 2022, giving it a fresh look.

Any list of landmarks you can see while driving through Suffolk would be remiss without mentioning the Orwell Bridge, which is to the south of Ipswich.

The 40th anniversary of the A14 bridge was marked last December.

The Magpie pub

Frequent drivers of the A140 between Suffolk and Norfolk will be familiar with The Magpie at Little Stonham.

For many years, there was a sign for the pub overhanging the road – but it was struck by a lorry in July 2021.

Plans are now afoot to fundraise to restore the iconic sign.
