Two men who helped supply drugs into Ipswich and a Bury St Edmunds man who sexually assaulted a schoolgirl were among those jailed in Suffolk this week.

Abdulkadir Ali and Ruben Rehman were jailed for a total of five years after being sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court.

The court heard both Ali and Rehman had links to the 'Kenny' county line supplying drugs into Ipswich.

Ali, 22, of Ditton Road in Southall, was jailed for 42 months after being found guilty of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Rehman, 19, of Belgrave Road in Illford, was jailed for 22 months after being found guilty of being concered in the supply of class A drugs and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Mark Cox sexually assaulted a schoolgirl more than two decades ago when he was a teenager, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

The now-46-year-old had denied six offences of indecent assault and one of rape dating back to the 1990s.

He was found guilty of four offences of indecent assault but cleared of the remaining three offences, including the rape charge, after a trial last year.

Cox, of Ridley Road, Bury St Edmunds, was jailed for seven years, with a one year extended licence period.
