Suffolk is to be hit with severe cold weather - prompting an alert to be issued by the Met Office.
The county is set to freeze in the coming days with subzero temperatures and the chance of wintry showers.
A Level Two cold weather alert is in place between 6pm on Sunday, January 15, and 9am on Thursday, January 19.
The forecasting service said: "Northerly winds will develop bringing colder air across much of the country.
"There is a 70pc chance of severe cold weather, icy conditions and heavy snow with strong winds exacerbating the impact of the cold."
People have been warned to avoid prolonged exposure to the cold and said vulnerable people are particularly at risk.
Travel and delivery services could also be disrupted during this period.
Chris Bell, forecaster at the East Anglian-based weather forecaster, Weatherquest, said wintery showers, including some snowfall, could fall between Sunday and Tuesday.
Temperatures are not expected to get above 5C between Sunday and Tuesday, according to Mr Bell.
