Lanes have reopened on the A14 after a car crashed into the central reservation at the Copdock Interchange following a multi-vehicle crash.

Police were called to the crash in the eastbound carriageway outside Ipswich at about 4pm on Thursday.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said that the outside lane of the eastbound carriageway had been closed as a result of the incident.

This was reopened by 7pm.

There have been no serious injuries reported as a result of the crash.

Two vehicles are in need of recovery, the spokesman said.

According to the AA Traffic Map there were queues forming as far back as Bramford, with delays also on the A12.
