An Ipswich discount store has announced it will be closing down this spring.
The Poundland store in Carr Street is set to close down in March.
Closing down signs have appeared in the windows of the Ipswich shop.
The sign reads: "Sorry we're closing March 11.
"Visit our website for other nearby stores."
A spokesman for Poundland said: "We’re sad to be closing our store on Carr Street on 11 March 2023 because the lease is expiring.
"However, we’ll still be offering customers Poundland’s amazing value at our nearby stores at Martlesham Heath Retail Park and The Sailmakers Centre.
"As a business, we have a strong history of creating jobs and we’ll be working closely with colleagues at Carr Street on their options - in fact just last week we announced 750-800 new roles nationwide this year.
"We love being in Ipswich and will, of course, actively look at other suitable sites in the area."
