Plans have been revealed to convert a bar in Falcon Street into a one-bedroom apartment.
Ipswich Borough Council’s planning committee will soon review the application to change the existing unused space at the former Luna Bar, Lounge & Club into a flat.
The venue has been unused since March 2020, the start of the Covid pandemic say the plans.
The flat located on the first floor would include one bedroom and a bicycle storage area.
The building located in Ipswich town centre was built in 1966, within an area of land that was previously occupied by a motor car maintenance garage.
Residents can associate the building with its front street modern glass facade.
Application consultant, Elizabeth Dubbeld, said: "Given the considerations set out in this letter, it is possible to confirm that the principal of the development of one dwelling, first floor flat, at the site would be acceptable, however it would need to be demonstrated that the design, layout and potential amenity impacts would meet the local and national policy requirements.
“The submission of an application for this development is therefore encouraged, once all of the required information is complete".
The existing ground floor retail area is to remain as food and drink premises.
