A man died after a medical emergency that saw two major Ipswich roads closed by emergency services.

Paramedics and officers were called to the incident in St Matthew's Street just before 12pm on Sunday.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said Norwich Road and Civic Drive were closed while emergency services attended the scene.

The East of England Ambulance Service has been approached for a comment about the St Matthew's Street medical emergency.

Emergency services were also called a two-vehicle crash in Crown Street yesterday.

The road was closed while the recovery of the vehicles took place.

No serious injuries were recorded, a spokesman for Suffolk police said.
