Women are taking over an Ipswich radio station this Wednesday, in celebration of International Women’s Day.
From 7am to midnight, Ipswich Community Radio will welcome a line-up of all-women guests, play only songs by female artists, and be run entirely by women.
This is the first International Women’s Day takeover the station has hosted since the pandemic, and presenters are eager to bring listeners a variety of interesting segments from fascinating women.
The day will kick off at 7am with the morning show, hosted former University of Suffolk lecturer Diana ben-Aaron.
She will be interviewing Ipswich Central CEO, Sophie Alexander-Parker and Mai Black, author of Thirty Angry Ghosts and coordinator of the Suffolk Writers Group on Facebook.
