A former Suffolk student says he is feeling "lovely jubbly" after working a stint on the West End's version of Only Fools and Horses.

Matt Herbert is a former pupil at One Sixth Form College in Ipswich and has finished work on Only Fools and Horses: The Musical, and will now tour with We Will Rock You.

Featuring the music of Queen, the 24-year-old will go around the country as the show's associate conductor for the 20th anniversary tour.

Mr Herbert, from Harwich, left college in 2016 and gained a BA in music at the University of Nottingham after his time at One.

He has also directed the music for Sweeney Todd at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts last year and he was also the music director, orchestrator, and wrote additional music for a new musical that premiered at the Vault Festival in January called 'In Clay'.

He is now a senior music tutor at a top London drama school.

Mr Herbert is not the first former One student to go on to be in the West End, with Maddy Salter featuring in the hit show, SIX, last year, with Jack Parry, a former dance student, working with Matthew Bourne on a production of Swan Lake.
