A weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for Suffolk as the cold snap continues. 

The Met Office has issued the yellow warning for snow and ice between midnight on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday. 

It comes after parts of the county was hit with snow this morning

According to local weather forecaster Dan Holley some parts of Suffolk could see between 3-5cm overnight. 

According to the warning power cuts may occur during the cold snap and bus and train services may be cancelled. 

National Highways is also warning drivers to take extra care in the wintry conditions

The Met Office and UK Health Security Agency has also issued a severe cold weather warning for the county which is in place until Thursday. 

Originally the Met Office issued a cold weather alert for Suffolk, but it has since been upgraded to severe.
