Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service has paid tribute to a firefighter who worked across the county for 43 years following his death.
Trevor Bryson, who first started working as a firefighter in January 1980, died on Wednesday, April 12.
During his time with the service he worked at the Princes Street, Colchester Road and Ipswich East fire stations.
He recently moved into the health and safety team within Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "He always went the extra mile to provide the community with the best service possible.
"Trevor was a much-loved friend, workmate, and colleague, inspiring many people across the service, and will be deeply missed by all.
"Our thoughts remain with his wife and family at this sad time."
