The owner of an award-winning Ipswich fish and chip shop is "excited" to be opening a second shop just outside the town.
Hasan Orman who owns Ocean Fish Platter in Ipswich town centre recently opened a second takeaway restaurant in Kesgrave.
Mr Orman has moved into the former No. 1 Fish Bar in Kesgrave.
Speaking about the opening, Mr Orman said: "We are very excited to have a new shop.
"It has been very hard but very exciting and we very happy to be serving the Kesgrave community."
Similar to the Upper Brook Street store in Kesgrave there is a sit down area where customers can enjoy their food or take it away.
Mr Orman said that the menu will be the same although some items may not be available in Kesgrave due to the size of the kitchen.
"We will carry on using fresh fish," Mr Orman said.
"We can't do the full menu like we do in town because the kitchen is very small here.
"Because of the size of the restaurant we will be more takeaway focused to start off with.
"But in the future will be planning and hopefully we can do more like the one in town."
Favourites including friend and grilled fish and chips will be available the owner said.
As well as this Mr Orman will be opening from 9am for breakfast and lunch.
