A pub chain will be giving out free cakes to Suffolk residents who visit the venue wearing a crown to celebrate the King’s Coronation.
Farmhouse Inns across the country, including the pub on 3 Donald Mackintosh Way in Pinewood, will provide customers with a complimentary slice of cake during the bank holiday weekend, between Saturday, May 6 and May 8.
To get their hands on the limited-edition cake, customers have to visit their local Farmhouse Inns wearing a crown or tiara – in celebration of the momentous occasion – and say the phrase "a royal slice" when ordering a cake at the till.
In return for their efforts, lucky recipients will receive a slice of raspberry and lemonade cake, crafted in-house by Farmhouse Inns’ talented ‘cake-a-tiers’.
To mark the historic weekend, Farmhouse Inn is also launching an online competition to crown a customer the ‘King or Queen of carvery or cake’ – with a £2,000 prize going to one lucky winner.
To enter, carvery and cake lovers need to visit the Farmhouse Inns website, enter their details and reveal whether they are team carvery or cake.
The winner will also receive a year’s supply of free carvery or cake.
