A baby and toddler shop in Ipswich is celebrating its one-year anniversary - and moving premises to join a street full of other independent shops.

Little Bubba's was set up one year ago by mum-of-four, Katie Warnes, who wanted to provide something for parents after recent closures.

Her first year in business has been filled with "ups and downs", but things are now looking up as she has moved to her new premises on St Peter's Street in Ipswich.

She was previously at the Crown & Anchor Mews, near Tower Ramparts, but will now join other independent Ipswich businesses, operating in the former Brides of St Peters shop.

On the move, Katie said: "I have moved to somewhere that's got a bit more footfall and has a window so that I can have a window display.

"I can actually utilise the space because, in my previous store, I did have some wasted space that I couldn't use.

"I think this is going to give me a lot more visibility, and even just moving in, I have had people stop me when they have seen me unload things into the shop.

"I'm excited for this though, I knew in the last place there wasn't a lot of footfall, but just being here, there is a massive difference between the number of people that stop to look and come in."

The shop opened in its new premises on May 13 and joins a street full of other independent shops.

She said: "It's a great street to move to because all shops seem to complement each other well.

"There's Fox and Bramble who sell baby clothes, and I often had people asking me and I would direct them there, so we compliment each other well."

The shop is set to celebrate its one-year birthday on May 27.
