A car has been found abandoned in woodland on the outskirts of Ipswich.

A passer-by found a green Vauxhall Astra, dumped in the middle of Wherstead Woods on Sunday morning.

The car was reported to Suffolk police at 6.40am that day, with the officers going to inspect the car after receiving the call.

Due to where it was left, it has ruined the wildlife and environment in the woods with tyre tracks running over flowers that are just blossoming.

Suffolk police and Essex Police both confirmed they received reports.
