A surgery that served 3,000 patients in a village just north of Ipswich has been removed and taken away for good.
Barham and Claydon Surgery closed permanently at the end of June 2021, after staffing cover became too reliant on locum health professionals and prevented it from continuing as a viable surgery.
Thousands of patients then had to join either Chesterfield Drive in north west Ipswich or Needham Market Country Practice.
The then NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (IESCCG) reassured patients then that "no one will be left without access to primary care".
A spokesman for IESCCG said at the time: "We have thoroughly investigated the possibility of another provider taking over the running of the Barham & Claydon Surgery, but sadly this has not proved possible.
"Dr Naqvi and his team have given great service to the people of Claydon and Barham over the last six years, for which we are very grateful."
The surgery facility was taken away during the afternoon on Wednesday, July 5.
