A man was arrested after being found on the train tracks between Ipswich and Diss.
Officers from British Transport Police were called to Gissing level crossing at about 1.50pm on Tuesday to reports of a man on the tracks.
A number of services between Ipswich and Norwich were either cancelled or delayed as a result of the incident.
A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said a man was arrested for domestic offences and was taken into police custody for questioning.
