A teenage drug dealer who breached a suspended prison sentence and 40-year-old man who secretly communicated with a 14-year-old girl are among those to be jailed in Suffolk this week.

Alex Houston 

Alex Houston has been jailed for 12 months for breaching a suspended sentence after he was found with wraps of crack cocaine last year.

Houston, 19, of Heath View in Kesgrave, was strip searched by officers on two occassions aftr being arrested for suspected drug offences in October 2021 and February 2022. 

During the first search, he was found in possession of 31 wraps of crack cocaine and 14 wraps which contained diamorphine.

Houston was released on bail, but on February 4, 2022 officers found him in possession of a Nokia phone and four drug wraps.

A further strip search at a police led to 10 more drug wraps being found. 

At Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday, Houston admitted breaching the suspended sentence and was ordered to serve 12 months of the jail term.

Tobias Stevens 

Tobias Stevens has been jailed for 32 months for drug dealing offences in Newmarket. 

Stevens, 34 and of Howard de Walden Way in the town, was sentenced after pleading guilty to being concerned in supplying class A drugs. 

It follows offences which took place in Newmarket between January 27 and February 23 this year. 

Detective Sergeant Sarah Wilkins said: “This sentence follows a thorough investigation that led to a guilty plea from Stevens."

Daniel Stacey 

Daniel Stacey has been jailed for 21 months after he communicated with a teenage girl and met up with her in a park. 

Stacey, 40, of Sproughton Court in Ipswich, had previous convictions for making indecent images of children, Ipswich Crown Court heard. 

Over a two week period in September last year, he met up with the 14-year-old schoolgirl six times. 

He told the girl he loved her, which Judge Emma Peters said was "deeply inappropriate". 

As well as being jailed for 21 months, he was banned from contacting the victim and her family and made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for ten years and ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for the same period.

Thirty-two-year-old Daryl Taylor has been jailed for three years carrying out a "campaign of pressure" against his former partner. 

Taylor, of no fixed address, attempted to get her to drop an allegation of assault against him after he threw a glass at her. 

Laura Kenyon, prosecuting, said the glass smashed on the floor and cut the victim on her leg. 

Ipswich Crown Court heard he mounted a "campaign of pressure" against the woman to stop her giving evidence against him.

He was jailed for three years and banned from contacting the victim for ten years.

Ergys Krrashi and Eduard Peposhi

Ergys Krrashi and Eduard Peposhi were both jailed for three years and six months for their involvement in supplying drugs in Ipswich. 

Krrashi, 23, of London Road, Ipswich, and Peposhi, 21, who was living at the same address, both admitted possessing cocaine with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

On June 6, officers followed Krrashi after seeing him leave a house in London Road. 

Their pursuit led them to Vernon Street, where they searched the 23-year-old and found 11 zip seal bags containing cocaine and £120 cash. 

A further search of his room found a further 53 bags of cocaine and £200 in cash.

Peposhi's room was then searched by officers, who found 27 bags of cocaine and £280 in cash.

Laura Kenyon, prosecuting, said Krrashi had been involved in the supply of cocaine worth £56,000 while Peposhi was involved in the supply of cocaine worth £65,375.
