An Ipswich student became an international sailing champion after competing against more than 230 sailors from nine countries.

Audrey Foley, a Year 12 pupil from Royal Hospital School in Holbrook, has been named 2023 US Youth Female ILCA 6 Champion.

The event, held on the prestigious Roger Williams University campus on Rhode Island in the US, marked the largest ever Youth Championship, making Audrey's victory even more impressive.

Earlier this year, Audrey, together with Sophia Dias, Grace Coleman Reaston-Brown, Georgie Stammers, Millie Lewis, and Nicole Stovell won the U19 Women's Team Racing National Championship.
