Ipswich has pulled in some huge names from the world of comedy for performances over the last year. 

Ricky Gervais and Jack Whitehall are among the esteemed household names to have visited the town's Regent Theatre recently. 

With more huge acts on their way, here are five comedians due to perform in Ipswich.

Romesh Ranganathan 

The teacher turned comedian is performing three shows in Ipswich within six months

Ranganathan will head to the Regent Theatre on October 11 to trial new material, before two shows in February next year as part of his UK tour Hustle.

When: October 11, 2023 and February 16 and 17, 2024

Eight out of 10 Cats star Jimmy Carr will be bringing his UK tour Terribly Funny 2.0 to the Regent Theatre. 

Audiences can expect a hilarious jokes at his show, which will quickly follow Ranganathan's in October.

Russell Howard

Russell Howard is another huge name that is set to come to Ipswich later this year. 

The Bristolian comedian extended his successful UK tour, which includes two dates at the Regent Theatre. 

As part of 14 new shows, the comic will head to Suffolk on December 2 and December 3.

When: December 2 and December 3, 2023

Ed Gamble 

Next March will see podcast host Ed Gamble make his way to Suffolk. 

With a show that is set to last almost two hours, the hilarious comic will perform at the Regent Theatre on March 16, 2024.

Iain Stirling

While he is perhaps best known for being the voice of Love Island, Iain Stirling will be going on tour around the UK in 2024.

The Scotsman will be performing at the Corn Exchange in Ipswich next April, midway through his tour.
