A luxury train has announced a journey of a lifetime for those wishing to travel like royalty from Ipswich.
The Northern Belle has announced that it will make two stops at Ipswich railway station to collect passengers on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9.
The 1930s Pullman-style train website promises to transport travellers "back to the golden era of rail travel – the days when nothing was too good for those sophisticated passengers who demanded to travel in true style".
Diners can expect a champagne reception including canapés and caviar blinis, a seven-course lunch including an award-winning Great British cheese board with port to accompany, a delicious dessert and a selection of petits fours, a bottle of wine per couple, entertainment from an on-board magician and travelling musicians and a memorable gift on departure.
Whilst the journey on Friday is a round-trip, the Saturday excursion will take passengers to York, from where they can choose between two additional sight-seeing excursions, including one to Castle Howard, a location featured in the popular Netflix series Bridgerton.
Tickets are available at northernbelle.co.uk.
