A Suffolk singer-songwriter has been selected to perform alongside chart-topping star Dermot Kennedy at a festival in London this weekend.

Libby Key, who was born in Ipswich and grew up in Woodbridge, is one of eight hand-picked singers from the London Community Gospel Choir chosen for the Irish singer's headline set at All Points East Festival on Sunday.

She said it will be a "real honour" to perform to thousands at the gig to close the festival.

Libby started her musical career as a violinist at Ipswich Suzuki School at the age of three and went on to study an MA in jazz vocals at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

She has sung with the London choir for big-name stars and acts including Justin Timberlake, The 1975 and Nick Jonas.

The choir she is part of closed Glastonbury with Elton John for his last-ever UK show in June this year.

Libby now lives in London and has a residency at several of the capital's five-star hotels.

When she is not performing for guests, she works as a session singer and songwriter.

Kennedy, 31, has released two albums, Without Fear and Sonder, that have both reached number one in the UK.

Among his hits to chart highly in the UK include tracks such as Outnumbered, Power Over Me and Giants.

Ahead of Sunday's performance, Libby said: "This is a real honour for me.

"Dermot has a great voice, pens some beautiful lyrics and is all round a pleasure to work with. This will be a unique opportunity to bring the sounds of pop, Irish folk and gospel together."

Rev Bazil Mead, the leader of London Community Gospel Choir, said: "We look forward to performing on Sunday and hope that Dermot will have a great time when he hears the voices kicking in."
