After 20 years in business, a catering company is set to expand into a new venture: a farm shop.

Hungry Tums Catering was launched two decades ago by husband and wife team Gwen Clarke and Michael Osborne.

The business caters for weddings and events and serves a range of local produce.

"We started our business with £80 in our back pockets," said Ms Clarke. 

"We have been working from home but we have outgrown our space now and are excited to move into a bigger premises."

The couple is opening a farm shop in unit 7 at 85 Dales Road, Ipswich, selling produce from Suffolk only.

"The food we use when catering events is local as far as possible, from our bakers to our farmers, to our butchers," said Ms Clarke.

The couple also intends to have recipe cards for customers to recreate their favourite food items at home, including sausage rolls and afternoon teas.

The shop is currently undergoing renovations and is due to open on to customers on Wednesday, September 13.
