There were severe delays on the A14 after a car broke down near the Orwell Bridge.
Traffic came to standstill on the eastbound carriageway on Thursday morning.
It was originally reported as a crash on the A14 but Suffolk police has since confirmed it was a broken down car.
There was delays of about 15 minutes in the area.
It comes after a lorry overturned near the Dock Spur Roundabout in Felixstowe this morning.
Suffolk police has confirmed that the carriageway has reopened.
