The world's joint-largest container ship has been pictured docked at the Port of Felixstowe.

Measuring at nearly 400 metres long, the MSC Michel Capellini arrived at the port at just after 12am on Thursday.

The vessel is one of the three largest container ships in the world, with a gross tonnage of 233,328 and a unit capacity of 24,346.

However, boat lovers will be unable to catch a glimpse of the boat as it was scheduled to leave at 4am on Saturday.

It is the latest in a string of large container ships to dock in Felixstowe.

The Ever Alot also arrived at the port on Thursday this week, while the MSC Loreto made its maiden voyage earlier this year.
