Members of the Suffolk Bangladeshi Society came together in Ipswich on Sunday to present their annual "Gardener of the Year" awards.
It is the seventh year the green-fingered members of the community have been recognised and mayor Lynne Mortimer and council leader Neil MacDonald were on hand to help present the awards.
The top award went to Maruf and Shamima Samy and their family who had produced a fine selection of produce - including some chillis that were reputed to be very hot!
The event is important in the society's calendar because it gives member of the Bangladeshi community the chance to come together, socialise and see how successful their gardening efforts had been.
As well as the competition at the Murrayside Centre visitors also had the chance to share meals together and renew old aquaintences.
