A pair of Ipswich businesswomen are "dipping their toe" in with their new venture as part of a shopping centre's growing offering to shoppers.

Sense Aroma has opened a new kiosk in Sailmakers Shopping Centre in the town, selling a variety of items intended to help with people's wellness.

This is the first time Claire Fortson and Kirsty Taylor have undertaken such a role and hope to "inject something different" in the already bustling area.

The shop sells mini calming water features, diffusers with aroma oils, salt lamps, crystals and incense burners.

The franchisees opened Sense Amora on October 10.

The pair said: "This is the first time we are dipping our toe in and we are enjoying ourselves so much.

"This is the first time it has been in Ipswich, and it injects something different into the shopping centre.

"Everyone has been lovely, they have been stopping and saying that Ipswich needs something like this because there is nothing like this in the town.

"We thought it would be popular and it is looking really positive."

The kiosk is now part of a shopping centre which has been growing in offerings, with the recent additions of The Nerd Hut opening, along with Retro Realm and the Attic in the Moon moving from Microshops.

Elsewhere in the shopping centre, Bodycare has recently opened on the first floor, as well as The Vitamin Bar.

Sense Aroma joins this list, and will be open seven days a week up until Christmas Eve, with hopes of the business staying beyond that point, potentially into next year.
