Major roads in Suffolk have been closed today for the movement of an abnormal load through the county.
The abnormal load consists of 327.5-tonne generator which left Ipswich Waterfront at 6.30am this morning.
It has arrived at its destination of Eye Airfield after over 12 hours of travelling.

Originally the load was meant to be moved on October 8 but this was pushed back due to a delay in the shipping of one of the components arriving from Germany, via Rotterdam.

After leaving Ipswich docks, the load made its way up Duke Street, Fore Hamlet, Derby Road, Felixstowe Road, and Norwich Road and towards Claydon for the A140 Coddenham slip road.
Once on the A140 the load would travel to Eye Airfield.

The A140 will also be closed for two more abnormal load movements on November 5 and November 26.
No A140 closures have been planned for Remembrance Sunday, November 12.
