A breakfast, lunch, brunch, and coffee spot overlooking Ipswich Marina. 

They serve freshly roasted and ground Italian coffee and their food menu includes breakfast muffins and sourdough open sandwiches. 

The café reopened under new management in 2018. 

2. Applaud Coffee

If the autumn chill lasts all day, why not enjoy a treat of afternoon tea. 

Applaud Coffee serves a traditional afternoon tea with a selection of mini sandwiches, scones, and cakes for £18 per person. 

In November, the cafe will start serving a festive afternoon tea as well featuring mini mince pies and cranberry and orange scones. 

3. The Green Room

The café sources its coffee beans from independent UK small-batch roasters. 

As well as serving a range of coffees and hot drinks, it also hosts events such as life drawing, book club and poetry evenings. 

Dogs are also welcome to enjoy water and free dog treats, or homemade dog cakes on offer.

4. Paddy and Scott's

5. Hullabaloo

Hullabaloo is a plant-based café in Ipswich that gained a reputation for keeping a small seasonal menu made from fresh ingredients. 

The menu includes dishes such as scrambled tofu and sweetcorn fritters. 

It was recently named one of the best places for breakfast in the UK by the Observer Magazine.
