A house previously used as a house share in Woodbridge Road could soon be available once more, now with six bedrooms.
Last year, it was proposed to convert the five-bedroom house share at 207 Woodbridge Road, on the corner of North Hill Road, into three separate two-bedroom flats.
However, this application was withdrawn before a decision could be made, and the house is not currently listed on Ipswich Borough Council’s register of Houses of Multiple Occupation.
Last week, plans were submitted to the council proposing to use the home as a house share once more, this time with six bedrooms.
Floor plans show that currently, the first floor has a bathroom and two bedrooms, while the second floor has three bedrooms. The ground floor has a lounge area, a dining room, a kitchen, utility room and a bathroom.
If accepted, the lounge would be converted into a bedroom while the dining room would become a communal lounge.
The first-floor bathroom would also be converted into a bedroom. Meanwhile, a wall would be knocked through on the second floor, creating a larger sixth bedroom.
Each of the bedrooms will have their own ensuite bathroom facilities.
Ipswich Borough Council sets an automatic eight-week target for a decision on all applications.
