Foundation Street and Lower Orwell Street in Ipswich closed

Suffolk Highways has announced that Foundation Street, from Smart Street to Star Lane, will be closed between 10am and 3pm.

This is for emergency pothole repairs.

A one-way diversion will be in place from A1156, Fore Street, B1075, Foundation Street with no vice versa, and Foundation Street, B1075, Fore Street, A1156.

Lower Orwell Street will also be undergoing emergency pothole repairs on the same day.

The diversion route will follow the A1156, Fore Street on way, and Fore Street, B1075, Foundation Street, A1022 the other way. 

Signs will be in place to direct the traffic.
