CCTV footage of the moment a violent brawl broke out among a group of teenagers has been released. 

Officers were called to the incident, at Old Cattle Market bus station, on June 22 after reports that a group of males were seen fighting with wooden stakes. 

Five teenagers were arrested in connection with the brawl. 

They were sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing. 

Claudio Da Costa, 18, of Primrose Hill, Ipswich, and Daniel Guedes, 18, of Broomwade Close, Ipswich, both pleaded guilty to violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Laurynas Talacka, 18, Chevalier Street, Ipswich, pleaded guilty to violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and breach of a criminal behaviour order.

All three were handed a 24-month sentence to be served in a youth offenders institute.

Alfie Pollard, 18, of Honeysuckle Gardens, Ipswich, was sentenced to 21 months in a youth offenders institute after pleading guilty to violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a controlled Class B drug (cannabis).

Andrius Budzius, 17, of Magdalene Close, Ipswich, pleaded guilty to violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was given an 18-month Detention and Training Order, comprised of a nine-month custodial sentence and a further nine months under supervision.

Reporting restrictions were lifted by the court to name Budzius. 

All five were subject to criminal behaviour orders, banning them from Ipswich town centre, defined as the area bordered by Civic Drive, Franciscan Way, Grey Friars and Star Lane.

Detective Constable Jack Evans added: “We took this investigation very seriously and I’m pleased that the hard work of the staff and officers involved has resulted in those responsible being brought justice for their dangerous actions.
