Several Suffolk roads will be closing for the day after Suffolk Highways announced a series of emergency work across the county. 

Drivers will face a series of diversions on Thursday as potholes, roads and gully issues are set to be fixed between 10am and 3pm. 

Here are the road closures with the diversion routes:

Lower Road, Ipswich

Lower Road in Ipswich is closed today between 10am and 3pm for vegetation clearance.

The diversion in place will take traffic along the B1077, A1214, Henley Road, and vice versa.

Prince Street, Sudbury

Prince Street in Sudbury will be closed from Gainsborough Road to New Street between 10am and 3pm for gully repairs.

The diversion will take drivers along Prince Street, Inkerman Row, Croft Road and Gainsborough Road, with no vice versa.

Combs Lane, Great Finborough

Pothole repairs will close Combs Lane from Wash Lane to Finborough Road in Great Finborough today, between 10am and 3pm.

The diversion in place takes drivers along Finborough Road, B1115, A1308, Combs Lane, and vice versa.

The Street, Elmsett

The Street in Elmsett will be closed from Whatfield Road to Manor Road today between 10am and 3pm for pothole repairs.

The diversion will take drivers along Whatfield Road, Naughton Road, Rookery Road, Manor Road, and vice versa.

Snape Road, Friston

Snape Road in Friston near Knodishall will be closed between 10am and 3pm today for road repairs.

The diversion will take drivers along the B1069, B1353, B1122 and A1094, and vice versa.

The Street, Aldham

Following on from the carriageway and verge collapse in Aldham, a stretch of The Street will be closed until December 19 while the road is repaired. 

This closure is in force 24 hours a day, with a diversion through Hintlesham and Burston in place.
