There are several road closures this week across major routes which will likely cause disruption for drivers. 

Here are seven you should be aware of:

A14, Orwell Bridge

The eastbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 55 and 58 from Monday to Friday

The carriageway will be closed from 8pm to 6am every day. 

It comes after the westbound carriageway was closed for five nights while National Highways carried out surveys on the Orwell Bridge. 

A diversion route will be in place while the carriageway is closed. 

Foxhall Road

The major Ipswich road will be closed until December 5 after a huge sinkhole appeared. 

Last week part of the road started to sink near to the junction with Derby Road.  

A spokeswoman for Anglian Water said: "Our team is currently repairing a sewer on Foxhall Road.

"In order to keep our team and other road users safe while we work, we have needed to close the road."

A diversion route is in place. 

Woodlands Road, Great Wenham 

Woodlands Road in Great Wenham will be closed on Tuesday while Anglian Water carry out essential roadworks. 

A nine-mile diversion route will be in place which is expected to add on around 15 minutes to people's journeys. 

B1071, Lavenham 

The B1071 near Lavenham will be closed between 7pm until 6am from Tuesday to Friday while Anglian Water carry out planned roadworks. 

A 10 and a half mile diversion route will be in place which is expected to take around 15 minutes to complete. 

Bury Road, Little Saxham 

Bury Road in Little Saxham near Bury St Edmunds will be closed between Tuesday and Friday while Suffolk County Council carry out essential roadworks. 

While the road is closed a seven-mile diversion route will be in place which should take around 15 minutes to complete. 

A1117 Cotmer Road, Lowestoft 

The A1117 Cotmer Road near Lowestoft will be closed from Saturday, December 2 until Friday, December 15 while Virgin Media carry out roadworks. 

A three and a half mile diversion route will be in place and is expected to add on around 10 minutes to people's journeys.

Bull Lane, Long Melford

Bull Lane in Long Melford will be closed on Saturday and Suday while essential roadworks are carried out. 

While the road is closed a short two-mile diversion route will be in place.
