A restaurant on the Suffolk coast has introduced a new free meal scheme to help those in need this winter.

Those visiting the Skye Lounge in Felixstowe can 'Pay It Forward' to provide food or drinks to those facing hardship over the festive season.

The scheme works by customers paying what they can afford for an extra meal or drink, which will create a ticket which can be used by someone in need.

"All we ask for is for people who are in genuine need to be using these," said the business.

Skye Lounge is in 55-57 Undercliffe Road in Felixstowe and serves a range of American food items such as burgers and hot wings.

The business plans to keep the scheme in place through the festive season and if successful, it could continue into the new year.
